The Army of the People's Republic of China (PRC) occupies the third place in the world in terms of power in the military ranking of the Global Firepower, behind the United States and Russia.

The current geopolitical situation is forcing China to increasingly make harsh statements and demonstrate its strength. The reason was the visit to the island of Taiwan on August 2 by the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress Nancy Pelosi. China has already protested to the United States and increased its military presence in the southeast of the country.
Taiwan seceded from China in 1949 during a civil war. Beijing still does not recognize the independence of the island, considering it its own territory. The United States openly supports the Taiwan authorities.
