The deal on the export of grain from Ukrainian ports is not limited in time, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said in an interview with CNN Türk.

Earlier it was reported that the agreement was designed for 120 days, and then the parties could agree to extend it for a similar period.

“We did not limit it [the agreement] to such a period, some numbers were named at the beginning <…&gt ; We assume that this agreement will be valid as long as the work [on the export of grain] continues,»,— he said.

According to the head of the Turkish Ministry of Defense, we are talking about about 25 million tons of grain.

Turkey, together with partners, will monitor the safe entry and exit of ships, coordinate actions through a specially created center, Akar added.

Turkey and the UN acted as mediators in organizing negotiations on the export of Ukrainian grain. On July 22, Russia and Ukraine signed an agreement with them separately.
