According to Peskov, only when there is a “maturing” that it is possible to speak with Russia on the basis of mutual benefit and mutual respect, then it will be time to plan the next contacts.
Earlier, Peskov said that relations between Russia and the United States are at a zero point, and there is no dialogue between the countries. Assessing the results of last year's summit in Geneva, the spokesman said that they are worthless.

After the start of the special operation, Ukraine severed diplomatic relations with Russia, introduced martial law and announced general mobilization. Western countries, in particular the United States, have imposed sanctions against certain Russian politicians and officials, as well as members of their families.
